Things to consider before going LIVE.

Q: Why do you want to achieve by going live?

Sometimes a recorded video is the best option but there could be many reasons to go LIVE.

  • Interactivity and feedback.
  • Reaching a larger audience than your venue will allow.
  • Presenting to people that can't be there in person.
  • Safety reasons for COVID-19

A good internet connection is a necessity for live broadcasting.

This connection needs to be a direct, hardwired, unshared connection for optimal results, anything less than this will not provide the necessary data transfer speeds needed for clear HD video streaming.

  • Have you considered which platform would best suit your needs.
  • Who is your audience
  • How many individual locations will be presenting
  • Do you need interaction like Q&A

Check your internet speeds with this online test provided by Ookla.

Have a message that you need to get out, try a live promotional broadcast and take advantage of the Social Media algorithms that favour live video. It's 2020, don't get left behind with antiquated advertising methods see us about event sponsorship or broadcasting your event or pro-mercial.

When a camera feed is required, filming a projection screen is never recommended as shown above. The preferred method would involve using the output from the presentation computer to overlay the Powerpoint® on the video feed thus eliminating any keystoning, colour balance or lumination issues that may arise.
The presenter and presentation both look their best.

Take note of the professional touch a lower third graphic makes. This one is used to present the speaker. Yes his name is John Smith, really.
